A little bit about me
Besides being a teacher, I designed and taught a mindfulness class for high schoolers, which included a yoga portion.
I am also a certified sound bath practitioner.

And I know that the ACT can be very stressful!

So...along with the intensity of teaching grammar, I bring calm and confidence to my students during tutoring sessions.

I 100% believe they can and will achieve their dreams, and I am glad to be on this part of their journey to help get them there!

If your student is
missing any English fundamental skills,
fear not!
I understand those skills and standards thoroughly, and will find a way to fill the gap in their knowledge with extra practice, different explanations, and
simple but effective terminology.
Teaching Philosophy
While teaching students at different levels for 11 years, I
developed ways to discover students’ gaps in understanding,
found simple ways to explain things, and
made materials to bridge the gaps when necessary.

The ACT is an odd, slightly tricky test. And sometimes, grammar terminology is complicated! A person can be really good at reading and writing, and still be confused about how to answer a question on the ACT.

I was a student who excelled in reading and writing, and I still wasn’t always prepared to unravel the type of questions the ACT was asking.

Fortunately, as a teacher, I've learned the ins and outs of the ACT and distilled the complex ideas that it's testing
into simpler, usable concepts that students can work with.

I look forward to working with you to teach you content and strategies for succeeding on the English portion of the ACT!
